Welcome to the Evergreen, Conifer and Golden communities nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Welcome to a place where the city and mountain living come together. Let's begin with Golden. Just 15 minutes outside of Denver and at an elevation of 5,675 feet, this community is served by 5 major highways, including I-70, CO-470, and U.S. Highway 6, which all provide direct roures to Denver, Boulder, and the mountains. Golden holds some of Colorado's best cultural and adventure attractions, shopping in locally owned stores, boutiques and some fine restaurants. The city is rich in history and the tradition of being progressive. Fame and fortunes were made in Golden Colorado's Territorial Capitol in 1862. Golden was crucial to the formation of the great state of Colorado and played a key roll in opening the West to settlement, and also helped build this nation's mineral industry. It is home to the Colorado School of Mines., the world's foremost engineering school. Golden is also home of the National Renewable Energy Labratory, which has become the principal national center in search for limitless enviornmentally benign domestically produced forms of energy and is known worldwide for its cutting edge research into solar power, and wind power, alternative transportation fuels and many other forms of renewable energy. Golden's climate is much like Denver's, but has tendencies to accumulate a bit more precipitation throughout the year. Average snowfall is 67.1 inches per year and average rainfall is 15.1 inches per year. There is an average of 273.5 sunny days per year. Now, isn't this the place you dream of calling home? Now let's head south and travel to a town call Conifer, Colorado! Conifer is located 15 miles southwest of Denver. This unincorporated community in Jefferson County has a population of approximately 51,000. Although there are several businesses in the area, studies show that 75% of the working community is employed in the Denver area; however, planned commercial development in the area will lower that percentage. The people of Conifer share a way of life that is special. It begins with the appreciation for the land and the abundance of natural beauty which surrounds the area. The Conifer area enjoys plenty of sunny days, even when the lower elevations are blanketed in fog or stormy, low-lying clouds. Summer for the most part, brings sunny days with the occasional afternoon thunder showers. Winter storms, like all of Colorado's weather, are here one day and gone the next. Average temperatures in the summer range from the high 70s to the mid 80s with winter temperatures from the mid 40s to the single digits. Average snowfall is 90 inches per year, rainfall 20 inches per year, average humidity is around 33% and an average of 296 days of sunshine per year. The explosion of wild flowers each spring and summer carpets the fields and hillsides in multi-colored splendor. Groves of aspen trees are trademarks of the high country, and their brilliant, blazing displays of golds and orange are inspiring each autumn. Towering forests of blue spruce, pine and fira provide a serene habitat for deer, elk, fox, rabbit, as for other wild life and birds calling Conifer home. Conifer's history is an "old west" story as it once was a part of the untamed wild frontier. From the Arapahoe, Ute, and Cheyenne Indians who wintered and hunted in these foothills to the early settlers - the mountain area west of Denver has always been a special place that has drawn unique and special people. There are only traces if the pioneer era visible today, but the old west spirit will thrive in Conifer. The breathtaking views of the Rocky Mountains that once awed the first settlers still provide energy and inspiration to Conifer's present-day pioneers. EVERGREEN AREA STATISTICS

Relocation >Help Your Real Estate Agent
Once your home is listed for sale, it may be difficult for you to step aside and let your agent take over. When prospective buyers arrive, you may want to stand by to point out the closet extenders, the hidden spice cabinet behind the kitchen door, the energy-saving storm windows or the updated copper plumbing. If you really want to help, however, you will leave the house whenever it is being shown!
We have found that the sales process does not really begin until buyers have begun to voice their objections about a property. Sometimes these concerns are serious enough to remove your house from consideration. Often, however, people voice objections as an automatic response when they really love the house and want to buy it. Real estate professionals are trained to know the difference.
If a seller is standing at the agent's elbow, the buyer won't be comfortable enough to allow the process of raising objections take place. If the buyer feels intimidated or suppressed, we could lose the sale. The best way to help is to give your real estate agent room to make the sale.
